I have been staying in a Finnish town called Naantali nearby Turuk the ancient capital of this country to attend the chromosome meeting My impression on this country is that there are many lakes, everywhere full of water. However, so far as I observed the water did not look clear. I do not know whether it is contaminated by something turbid or simply polluted. Everywhere the country reveals quiet and peaceful landscape. Another impression on this country is homogeneity. People look homogenous in comparison with other European countries. Housing also looks alike. Even old houses are simply pretty and perfect in conforming to the outlook of new houses. If one does not need daily stimulations, Finland may be ideal. For growing teenagers who look for something stimulating everyday, the country may be rather boring. Perhaps the Finnish language that seems to be very difficult to me is a big barrier for foreign workers to work in this country. In this sense, I found some strong similarity between Finland and Japan, both country people are considered to be uniform by foreigners.
